For over 45 years, we have been serving and supporting families of Utah. You may not know us by name, but we are there in times of crisis – we offer a safe space for your children, a supportive environment to address conflicts, and a place to learn the skills you need to raise happy and healthy kids. We are the Family Support Centers of Utah, a united network of 11 support centers across the state of Utah. We provide community-based support and services that enhance child and family well-being; our main goals are to:
Family Support Centers of Utah is a nonprofit organization that depends largely on private funding to keep our doors open. Our mission is to strengthen families and help the Utah children – and we can’t do it without your help.
How We Help Centers
Supporting the Family Support Centers of Utah means supporting the centers in your community. We provide funding, advocacy, training, and networking for all of the 11 family support centers in our network. In the past, we have worked to secure funding for much-needed building renovations, construction of Comfort Corners, increase wages for the center’s staff, and more.
How We Help Kids
Our support centers have 17 Crisis/Respite Nursery locations throughout the state. These nurseries provide parents with a safe place for kids when life throws the unexpected at them. In 2022, our Crisis Nurseries provided 89,163 hours of care! Whether parents are stressed by financial, medical, single parenthood, or other emergency situations, we’re there when you need us most.
How We Help Parents
Parent education is a fundamental part of the Family Support Centers of Utah. Each of our 11 support centers offers family-centered, trauma-informed courses built on the backbone of the Nurturing Parenting Program. Our goal is to give people the resources they need to deal with the struggles of parenthood, prevent child abuse and neglect, and improve all family relationships.
